Flood protection: How not to get wet!

BEST summer course 2014

This year BEST Bratislava invites students of technical universities from all over the Europe to join a summer course titled "Flood protection: How not to get wet!"

Academic part of our summer course will take place in the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Slovak University of Technology from June 29th to July 7th. Involved pedagogues teach in the department of Hydraulic Engineering and are experts in the field of Water Management. The guarantor of the course is prof. Ing. Andrej Šoltész, PhD.

A team of 22 students from Europe together with 10 students from our home university will explore modern methods used for a flood control.

The course will consist of 29 hours of lectures, exercises and excursions. The main aim of these lectures is to provide students with a basic knowledge in the field of flood protection.
